San Francisco, CA —— September 8th, 2024 —— The Wallow’s Model Tour made a stop in San Francisco Sunday night. The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium was filled with excitement as the hit indie rock band returned for their 2024 tour. There isn’t a meter high enough to measure the excitement and energy that was visible from all the fans. The line to just get in the venue had made a giant circle around the park that was across the street from the Bill Graham.
The night opened up with the award winning New Zealand artist BENEE. BENEE kicked off the night with the catchiest song “Kool”. Creating a dream vibe atmosphere that got everyone on the floor dancing around. Towards the end of her set, he got the crowd pumped and ready for Wallows by performing her song “Animal”. BENEE’s set was truly immaculate from dancing all around the stage to interacting with the crowd. BENEE had finished her set with her 2020 viral hit song “Supalonely”. From the screams that erupted throughout the venue, she she had perfectly set the stage from the rest of the night.
Screams erupted when the Wallows curtain came down and had their name written on it. All it took for everyone to start recording and scream was Wallows bandmates Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters, and Cole Preston took the stage behind the curtain. The stage was illuminated by the flashing lights and the night took off with “Do Not Wait”. As the curtain dropped during the song, the venue erupted into screams of joy, followed with the band transitioning into “Your Apartment”. The whole performance was electrifying, with everyone interacting with the crowd.
Wallows performed both old and new fan favorites such as “Treacherous Doctor”, “Scrawny”, and “These Days”. Their performance was like no other. With Minnette heading over to the b stage in the middle of the venue while performing “She’s an Actress” to the trio bringing the intimacy. All three were seated together in the middle of the venue to bring everyone together them singing “Only Friend” and “Picture Girls”. You could see the connection everyone in the venue had with one another. The final song of the night was “Are You Bored Yet?” Wallows have developed an extremely devoted fanbase over the years. Sunday night was proof of that. They put their all into their music and performances. Giving the fans exactly what they were hoping and wanting for. Which was a 23 song set filled with both the old and new favorites. Filled with the raw, emotional performances. The Model Tour has two more shows in the US before heading to Europe and Australia.
