San Francisco, CA — June 6th, 2023 — The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco was a sold out show filled with thousands of Melanie Martinez's fans, dressed in beautiful outfits that represented Martinez's character "The Creature". As well as creative outfits with gowns, flowers, wings, and more! First, San Francisco native Tanukichan opened the show with a set that consisted of upbeat and easy going songs that got the fans amped and ready for Melanie Martinez to take the stage. With each song that Tanukichan finished, the applause kept getting louder and louder. Anybody there could feel the excitement radiating off of all the people there.

The anticipation soon ended as the sound of the intro to "The Hatching" was heard throughout the whole auditorium. Fans were seen running with excitement on their faces as they raced in to see the moment Martinez walked on stage. Melanie Martinez's opening songs "DEATH" and "VOID" were immaculate with getting the energy of the show going. The production as a whole created a natural flow from song to song. With a full band and team of dancers that helped bring the visions to life on stage. With each song Martinez performed and shifted to, the stage evolved with her which made this performance like no other. Such as the large spider web that covered the whole stage when Melanie performed her sixth song "SPIDER WEB".

"PORTALS" is Melanie Martinez's third studio album and is a continuation of the story telling that she had created in her first studio album. "PORTALS" focuses on immortality, rebirth, how we are all connected, and how we all learn and grow from one another. Melanie Martinez is currently in the early stages of the Portals Tour. This tour she is playing her album front to back, this can be challenging due to there being newer songs and fans may not know all the lyrics. However, that wasn't the case with Melanie Martinez and her fans. The whole auditorium was filled with fans screaming to every song, dancing with one another, and resonating with every word that Martinez sang.
