Concert Review: We Can't Get Enough of Big Time Rush

Thousands of fans dressed as bandana man, wearing tree hats, holding signs hoping to be the Worldwide Girl, and singing at the top of their lungs.... this is what makes a perfect Big Time Rush concert. Big Time Rush's 'We Can't Get Enough' made a stop in the Bay Area. With the show being introduced by singer and songwriter Jax, it was the beginning of an electrifying show. Jax opened up the show with her song "90s Kids". Making ever 90s baby and adult in the audience feel the nostalgia. With lyrics such as 'But we're on a break, man.. Rachel and Ross said' referencing the notorious 90s show Friends. As well as singing the lyrics 'Do you got a tamagotchi..Like a real tamagotchi' which is referencing the 90s toy that is the digital handheld pet. Jax then went on to bring young girls to the photo pit to help her sing "Cinderella Snapped" and her TikTok viral song "Victoria's Secret".  Creating memories for these young fans that will last a lifetime.

The next opener on the Can't Get Enough Tour is the actor and musician MAX. He brought the energy by opening his set with his song "Love Me Less". Bringing in the dance moves and had everyone from the front row all the way back on the lawn on their feet dancing as he sang "Holla" and "Acid Dreams". His set had multiple aspects and he had incorporated his band to the fullest with the saxophone solos, guitar solos, trumpet solos, etc. Making it a truly entertaining performance to watch. MAX also hit the audience with throw back songs "Someday/Me And You Against The World". Where the whole amphitheater was singing their lungs out. The magical moment came when he performed "Lights Down Low" and everyone in the crowd held their phone flashlights up. Made it to where we were really with the stars above.

The moment final came. The lights dimmed. The fans started to scream and the ones in front ran to the barricade. The music for "Can't get Enough" started as Big Time Rush rose onto the platform. Big Time Rush formed in 2009 for the Nickelodeon show "Big Time Rush". With their fans called 'Rushers', each and everyone of the screamed at the top of their lungs once the boyband rose onto the stage. As if no time had passed from their return in 2022, fans of theirs from their Nickelodeon show days were seen singing their hearts out. But there were also so many new and younger fans getting to enjoy the performance that these four boys put on.

Consisting of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega, Big Time Rush has made an impact for generations. With fans dressing up as James' Bandana Man, fans wearing the tree hats that were seen in the show, Carlos' helmet, and even holding the famous "I Heart Kendall" sign. It was very evident to see how loyal these fans were as the group started to sing "Any Kind of Guy". With the audience erupting into cheers and even screaming the lyrics back to them. It was like watching them perform it for the first time in the show being awestruck of all their voices combined. They also brought back nostalgic feelings when performing "Worldwide" as everyone in the audience hugged onto whoever they were with and singing to one another. A beautful sight to witness and be apart of.

It was all nostalgia. With their openers playing to our inner tweens to their stage set up with the lights. Big Time Rush knew exactly how to play to the audience. And be able to appeal to each and every person that was in that crowd rather they be 5 years old, 15 years old, 23 years old, or even older. No matter the age everyone was having a good time with these four guys. We hope Big Time Rush "Can't Get Enough Tour" isn't the last hurrah but rather them elevating to new heights and getting us ready for something bigger to come. Their show in Mountain View was one for the books. Filled with energy, nostalgia, and reminiscing of those simpler times where we all shouted the words to "Boyfriend" and hoped that as they sang it they were looking at us.  We can't wait to see what the future holds for Big Time Rush and can't wait to party with them again.
